Volunteer with Stable Friends
Be part of a promise that stays
We believe that stability heals. For a child in foster care, life can change overnight, a new home, new school, new rules, new faces. But in our program, there is one thing that does not change: their horse. That unwavering bond offers comfort, trust, and hope in a world that often feels unpredictable.
Our volunteers are the bridge between that promise and its reality. They are the hands that brush a mane, the smile that greets a child, the steady presence that says, “You matter, and I’m here.” When you give your time, you give so much more, you give a child the consistency and kindness they’ve been searching for.
Why Your Role Matters?
For a child who has faced constant change, a familiar face at the barn can mean as much as their horse does. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission, feeding, grooming, guiding, listening, and simply being present.
You’ll help care for the horses, assist with horsemanship lessons, provide transportation support, and encourage children as they build confidence and skills.
No horse experience? No problem. We’ll guide you every step of the way. All you need is patience, kindness, and a heart for helping children heal.
